Dr. B. Madhusudana Rao has been appointed the new Scientist‑In‑Charge at ICAR‑CIFT Visakhapatnam Centre. A renowned fisheries microbiologist, he brings extensive research experience in aquatic bioprospecting, value-addition, and technology development to advance fishery science.

Dr B. Madhusudana Rao, Principal Scientist, has taken over as the Scientist-in-Charge of Visakhapatnam Research Centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) .
Dr. Rao belongs to the Agricultural Research Service (ARS). He completed his graduation (B.V.Sc) and post-graduation (M.V.Sc) form the College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati under the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU), Hyderabad.
He was awarded Ph.D. by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi and received advanced training at the University of North Carolina Pembroke, USA.
